I Changed

I changed
Changed for better
Changed for worse
I burned my ground
I snapped your crown
Dismounted you from my list
Learned not to be sad about it
I stopped caring
Grew apart from you
You may not know this
You are too busy in your own
Changed my schedule
I changed my habits
Sorted out my priorities
And you didnt make it in the list
So I changed
But you dont see
I changed for you
I changed for me
Straightened out my life
Starting taking a path away from you
Yes I changed but you dont see
That I have changed and I am no longer me!

You Let Go

image

You let go of my hand
It was outstretched in the wind
As I stood on the desert sand
I couldnt lower my hand,
I couldnt let go of you
I was pushed and I was pulled
I was alone but in my own
The crowd was mean,
They hurt me
Still my hand, outstretched
Kept searching for solace
All I found were mean glances
Taunting and hurting
Strangers who were family
But acted far from it
Like the solid sun in the sky
Like the moon in the confines of the night
Like the lone cloud on a bright day
Like the last flower about to wither away
I stood among strangers, among family
Learning to live alone.
Forever alone
Echoes of my own voice
Drowned the mean, venomous cries
I stood alone with hand outstretched
Seeking comfort, seeking help
Looking for you, looking for myself.

Why Dont You?

You say that you care, if you do then show it!
Why dont you?

You say that you are there for me
If you are, then assure me!
Why dont you?

You say that you love me
If you do, then express it!
Why dont you?

You say you are my friend
If you are, then act like one
Why dont you?

You say that you wont let me go
If you wont, then stop me!
Why dont you?

You say you value me
If you do, then prove it!
Why dont you?

You say I am not alone
If I still feel so then make me feel otherwise
Why dont you?

You say I should trust you
If you are confident enough then make me!
Why dont you?

But I say I have never felt more lonely
I say that I have never felt more cold
I say that I have never felt so exposed
I say make me feel warm
I say make me feel loved
I say make me feel wanted
I say make me feel whole
Why dont you?

The Flowers And The Tree

In the early hours of the morning, three flowers in the garden, were talking together, whispering with heads bent forward, unaware of me watching them with interest. Just before dawn, the lukewarm light made the white petals seem to me like a paradise of my own. The three flowers with their conspiracy, heads bent forward, seemed to realise the dawn was due and so they straightened and opened their wing-like petals to welcome the warm sun after the chilly night of the spring. The dew gave them a gentle bath to get ready for the sun. The sun rejoiced to see the gesture and turned his full light on those flowers. The flowers moved with the morning breeze, jostling in the gentle caress. All looked peaceful, all was serene. The flowers faced the sun and absorbed the light. The light danced along the colors of the petals. The green grass beneath, so lush, so bare, so pure. I smiled and turned my face to the sun and breathed deeply while stretching my arms wide as if hugging the scene of pure tranquility.
Somewhere behind me, a laughter rang so deep that I turned my head with curiousity. A child of not more than 5, was running towards me in full speed. He was plucking out the flowers with each hand as he ran. I could hear his laughter as he took pleasure in marring the beauty of nature. Between his laughs, I heard the small shreiks and screams in bursts and echoes. Those, I suspected, were the screams and pleas of the gentle flowers. Oh how cruel really is mankind. Even at the most innocent stage, they are so ruthless. I watched him till he reached my roots. He gazed at the three flowers which I had grown fond of. I saw his expression change to one of pure evil. I sensed what he had in mind. I tried to shout to stop him but I was bound and so with pain in my heart, I saw him pluck the flowers from the stem.
It was a murder. A lifetime of pain for me to witness this slaughter. I saw him run along to rampage through the garden. Then I looked down and saw the empty stem where once my three flowers gleamed and glowed.
Suddenly the sun was too bright, the garden became a graveyard. I wept for them. I missed them. They were gone, never to sway in the wind, rejoice with the sun, bathe in the dew. I was left all alone to myself, with bitter reminders.
I was meant to see, to witness. For I am the tree.

The Aura

Surrounded by the dark mist
Black and bold all around
With the greenish touch to the smog it brings
From dying hearts, it springs.
The aura.
Grabbing those who do not know
This shadow, this invisible foe
Gnawing at the souls, sucking life from the core.
Spreading wide, this mist, like tide
Leaving no place for the souls to hide
The feel, the setting gloom
Like death.
The mist, my home, my birth
I live in it, I breathe it in
I survive it, I die in it
I exist, I do not live
I smile, I do not reflect
Like monotonous.
The aura in my soul
The aura in my body
Seeping through.
Like a murder.

A Bed Of Roses

My life, a bed of roses, you say?
So easy as breathing, so effortless
If hurting at every point of life isv what you call a bed of roses
Then I agree with you
If pain be my companion for life
Then add to the roses you see
If loss is what you think is bliss
Then add that too into your list!
If betrayal is what you call the beauty
Then be it, say that too!
Envy me for all those roses with thorns
Wish for all that you say I have
But only He knows what I am
What I have and By God
It totally isnt the red and the roses
Its way far from it
See my pain, feel my loss
Feel the betrayal, know the cause.

No Response

I knocked on the door of heaven and above
Stood there, tattered and torn
Screaming pleas and all that I could think of
Hoping against hope for a guide to guide
Through the tough times, always by my side
Knocking, clawing, at the door
With a stubborn lock so rude
It didnt budge and neither did I find solace
Until my strength waned
And blood froze in my veins
I continued my struggle, my urge to survive
But I got no response, no reply
Only silence as I bowed there
With a hopeless and saddened heart.
