Soaring High

She was small, she was light
She had somewhat a little plight
All those who saw her
All those who knew her
Let her go, let her bleed
She was one
And one of a kind
Yet they threw her away
Oblivious to her, totally blind
She was white and she could fly
But too afraid.
What if she died??
All she had ever heard was scorn
All she ever felt was thorn
But she knew her aim was high
She had it in her to fly, that no one could deny
She was free to go
To move, to let them know
Once she shook off the dust from her wings
And took flight
Starting falling down
And suddenly Soaring High
Defying gravity, the laws of nature
She flew and crossed the horizon line
She never looked back
As she had found her place
Where she belonged
Where she shone!

My Picture Perfect

Dreams, imaginations, thoughts so great
My wonderings take a toll on me
I ache and I wait
For my imaginations to take shape
One day will come when I will be free
Free to rejoice the freedom spree
My perfect picture becoming clear
Which, in my heart, I hold so dear
A garden full of lush, green grass
With birds singing with the wind
Trees, busy, swaying in their rhythm
Seems like hugging and reuniting with their kin
Mad with joy, smiles so wide
I cant help but beam back
As I hum along with the breeze
Dancing, swaying and tapping my feet
That, my friend is the picture I dream of
That is my thought which I imagine
A place of purity, away from any sin

Waiting For Sleep

Longing for the dreams in the night
I wait for sleep to take over
I try to close my eyes
But they insist on staying wide open.
As I wait for sleep
My hearts remembers the lullabies of my angel
Humming them slowly
One after the other
My voice resonating through the walls
My lonliness hurts my being
As I ache for her
The feelings and touch are clear to me
A soft hand caressing my forehead
Moist lips my cheek as she finishes her song
As I roll to the side, her patting my arm
I smile in contentment
My mind has captured it all
The sleep is yet to come
But my soul is at peace for now
For the night, to drag me alive
Pain is at bay
Anguish, for tonight, will stay away
As Its my beloved’s birthday.
Dont break the spell
Let the reality burn in hell
My dreams are my saviors
The hold the memories close
And then sleep takes over
As I succumb eagerly, escaping to relief
For the first time in years
I had a beautiful dream.
